Danielle Joy Kirby was born in Kingman, Arizona in 2001 and moved to Nevada in 2013. She is the daughter of Daniel and Tedi Kirby and has a little brother named Seth. Because of her years of being bullied, Danielle has dedicated her life to bullying prevention. She has read the book “One” to over 300 Elementary School students and talked to them about the effects of bullying and their experiences with being bullied.
Danielle finds personal strength from her father and his words of wisdom. He has always told her “Be bigger than the problem, don’t let the problem be bigger than you!” While remembering these words her father has told her it has helped her overcome being bullied.
Danielle has been a member of the Varsity Cheer squad at her High School for two years. Her other hobbies include, hanging out with friends, playing with her cats Kiki and Snicker, going camping with family, listening to music, hiking, yoga, fitness, modeling and serving her community.
Danielle’s plans for the future are to use her title as Miss Teen Nevada International to promote her platform and talk to the youth in Nevada about the effects of bullying and what to do if you are being bullied. She is also, very excited about preparing for Nationals that will be held in West Virginia in July.
